The gap nobody talks about

You can explain a deal. But can you build it in Excel by Monday morning?

This is where careers in private equity, M&A and corporate finance stall — not on theory, on the model itself.

You can't turn a set of inputs into a working model

Given assumptions on revenue, costs, capex, working capital and debt, could you produce a linked income statement, balance sheet and cash flow that actually balances? If not, that is the wall between you and the job.

Private equity transactions stay a black box

Sources and uses, purchase price allocation, debt tranches, cash sweep, exit at a multiple, IRR and MOIC. Everyone talks about LBOs. Very few can actually build one in Excel under time pressure.

You freeze when asked to value a business

Valuing a company before an IPO, before an M&A deal, before a fundraise: DCF, WACC, comparables, precedent transactions, football field. Without reps, the number you produce is one you can't defend.

Your outputs don't convince anyone

A model no one can read is a model no one funds. Converting your numbers into clean, professional charts and dashboards is what gets an investment committee or a lending bank to say yes.

The financial modeling test is where it breaks

You can talk through a DCF and still freeze when someone says 'build it, now'. That moment has no second chance — and it repeats at every stage of your career.

Watching is not building

Free videos feel productive and leave nothing behind. Skill comes from finishing models yourself, month after month, until the structure is automatic.

Every month you don't build one, the gap gets wider — and the next financial modeling test, the next deal, the next promotion finds it.

The moment you join

Instant access to a complete financial modeling case study — not a drip-feed.

Inputs, three statements, valuation, charts. Everything you need to build it yourself, today.

You first full case-study

From raw inputs to a finished three-statement model, valuation and investor charts — ready to open the moment you sign up.

Structured video series

Each model is broken down click by click: assumptions, income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, debt schedule, valuation output.

Downloadable files at every step

The working Excel files at each stage, yours to keep — so you can rebuild the whole model from a blank sheet as many times as you want.

The AI prompt list

The exact prompts we use to speed up the repetitive parts of the build — formatting, checks, schedules — so your time goes into the financial modeling judgment.

WHY I BUILT THIS OFFER ?

12 years ago, I had the degree and motivation. In the job, it all fell apart.

Salah, founder of IFE

Salah

The interview that exposed the gap

Like hundreds of students every year, I was applying for private-equity analyst roles. I knew finance — DCF, comparables, valuation. I felt ready. Then a recruiter said: “Build me a three-statement model. Right now.”

I froze. I had a master's in finance — and no one had ever taught me to build a real Excel model from A to Z. I didn't get the role. And I understood that my degree wasn't enough.

The turning point

I decided to learn what school never taught me.

Books on financial modeling. Workshops. Thousands of euros invested in the one skill no one had bothered to teach me. I learned that building a model turns finance knowledge into a concrete decision tool.

First deals · Private US companies

I started financial modeling for an American fund — small and mid cap.

My first real-world models: investment memos on private US companies. For the first time, my work was driving actual allocation decisions — read, and challenged, by professionals.

2022 · Private equity and crowdfunding

I helped companies raise millions in equity and bond debt.

On a private-equity crowdfunding platform, I built the models used to support investor decisions in equity and bonds. Every model had to be robust. Every assumption had to defend itself.

Since 2024

Today I model solar project financings in France.

Business plans submitted to institutional lenders and investors — the highest bar I've ever worked to. I built IFE so you can learn these practical skills through structured, real-world case studies.

Why I built Listed Models

Because practice — live, repeated, hands-on practice — is the mother of every skill.

Nobody became good at financial modeling by reading about it. You get good the way analysts get good: one model, then another, then another.

Skill is a habit, not an event

A one-off course gives you a weekend of motivation. A model every month gives you a rhythm — and rhythm is what turns knowledge into reflex.

Live practice beats theory, always

You don't learn to build a three-statement model by watching one. You learn it by opening a blank sheet and finishing it yourself, again and again.

Better by the day, week and month

Every new case study adds a sector, a structure, a valuation angle. Twelve months in, you don't have notes — you have a portfolio of models you built.

Anything worth having in life is built by practice — day by day, week by week, month by month. That is exactly why Listed Models is a monthly membership and not a course you finish once and forget. A new financial modeling case study, every month, for as long as you want to keep getting better.Salah, founder of Listed ModelsSalah · Founder of Listed Models

THE TRANSFORMATION YOU WILL SEE

From 'I understand the theory' to 'give me the inputs, I'll build the model' — one case study at a time.

Three statements, transaction structures, valuation and investor charts: the financial modeling skills PE, M&A and corporate finance teams actually hire for.

Your financial modeling skillYour career value

Level 10 — build a complete model live.

The skills you walk away with

The exact financial modeling skills PE, M&A and corporate finance teams test you on.

Not a list of topics you've heard of — a list of things you can build, from a blank Excel sheet, under time pressure.

Three-statement financial modeling

Linked income statement, balance sheet and cash flow that actually balance — from raw operating assumptions.

LBO and private equity transactions

Sources and uses, purchase price allocation, debt tranches, cash sweep, exit multiple, IRR and MOIC.

Valuation for IPO and M&A

DCF, WACC, trading comparables, precedent transactions and a football field you can defend line by line.

Investor-grade charts and dashboards

Turning your outputs into one-page visuals that an investment committee or a lending bank actually reads.

AI to accelerate the grunt work

The prompts that remove formatting, checks and repetitive schedules — so your time goes into judgment, not typing.

Model structure and presentation

Clean assumptions blocks, audit checks, scenario toggles and documentation — the habits that make a model trusted.

Let's be honest first

This is not for everyone. On purpose.

Before you start your 7-day free trial, read this. If any of these is you, save your $97 — we'd rather lose the sale than waste your time.

You want AI to build the whole model for you.

Our edge is AI that accelerates the grunt work — not a button that replaces the thinking. If you want to skip the understanding, this won't build your skills.

You'll watch the videos but never open Excel.

Every case study is build-along. If the file stays closed, nothing changes. This is reps, not entertainment.

You need Excel basics first.

We build private equity transaction models, three-statement models and valuations. If formulas and references are still new, learn those first — then come back and you'll fly.

You already model deals in your sleep.

If you're a VP staffing analysts on live deals, this is below your level. It's built for the people developing that practical fluency.

You'd rather spend the $97 on a weekend out.

If one night out beats building the financial modeling skill that gets you hired, this probably isn't the right priority for you. No hard feelings.

Everyone else — the people who'll actually open the file and do the work — this was built for you.
